On 8 June 2025 at 9:14 p.m., Maj. Gen. Winthai Suvari, Army spokesman, revealed that the Cambodian side, led by Lt. Gen. Sray Duk, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and Commander of the 3rd Support Division, had invited the Thai military, led by Maj. Gen. Sompop Pharawet, Commander of the Suranaree Forces, along with Maj. Gen. Nat Sri-in, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army, to join discussions to negotiate about the problem of territorial encroachment in the Chong Bok area.
